**WARNING – This mini bikini really is mini so prepare your eyes for some serious cheek!
I was asked to be a BeYou Mini bikini ambassador a while ago now but living in England, I never had the chance to wear it or to take any tropical, insta worthy pics! I finally got to take it for a spin during my recent trip to Greece and took full advantage of the aesthetic landscapes and buildings to take some photos in it. Now the difficult thing is that I don’t really want to be posting my little butt all over insta (my grandma follows me and I’m sure she doesn’t wanna see that, you know?) So I thought I’d take this opportunity to talk about my teeny tiny bikini and why I love it.
BeYou Mini is boutique swimwear label made in Barcelona and I wanted to add in their little paragraph from their “about” section because its cute:
“We are a mini team with big expectations and thrill. We have lived in a fashion world since we were very young. We belong to a family tradition where patterns, fabrics, creativeness and trends have been part of our lives. We grew up surrounded by lingerie and bathing costumes. Throughout the years we have made this legacy ours and we have mixed with our passion for the Mediterranean, the sun and freedom. The results: Be You Mini; a concept that goes beyond the common bikinis. Be You Mini is attitude, is self-confidence, is elegance, is minimalism, is femininity and, above all, is a love story between the body and the sea.”
Now I know their bikinis are by no means cheap but I couldn’t help myself, I really wanted to get one and I’d had my eye on the Candela mini bikini for a while so I took the plunge – financial plunge that is. With my discount code it came to around €65 but I have no regrets! I absolutely love it and I wish I lived somewhere like Bali so I could wear it all the time. The quality is amazing and its really comfortable to wear, even being part of the itty bitty tittie committee *represent*, I felt confident! Tan lines are the bane of my LIFE when I get back from holiday, I just hate them but with these bikini bottoms in particular my tan lines were minimal which was fab. I did mix and match this bikini with other ones throughout the week too just so I didn’t get a crazy tan line from the super pretty Y back of the bikini top.
On this particular day, I paired my bikini with a simple silver body chain from asos! BeYou Mini have three different types of bikinis, mini, tiny and cheeky. Naturally, I went for tiny haha. But they have some beautiful styles and patterns that you should check out! I will definitely be treating myself to another one before I start travelling! Be sure to check them out on their website and their insta (Im on there hehe)
I hope you enjoyed having a read, Im sorry if you spat out your tea at the photos, my bad! Come back soon for more posts & videos! Stay peachy x
Hey guys, today I wanted to share with you an outfit post. I wore this outfit in a lookbook I made last week and I absolutely loved it! It was so easy to put together and it was perfect for the warmer weather we have every now and again here in London! I paired my ripped mom jeans with a white crop from Topshop that I’ve had for a while. I wanted to keep the colour palette quite light for summer so I think the white top worked really well with the details in the jeans. I wore my ‘London’ sliders from Dune London which are so comfy and easy to wear with so many outfits. To finish the look, I added my Quay Australia Tell Me Why sunnies and I was ready to go! Make sure to check out the lookbook on my youtube channel, the link is below!
Happy prom season everyone! This will be the most stressful but exciting time of your life so far but it is all worth it for the big day! In honour of prom season, I’m meeting the challenge by The Black Tux (A not so traditional tuxedo rental company – Go check them out, their clothing is so so nice, and their Instagram is on point!) to re-live my prom planning days and style a look that I would wear to prom if I was going this year. So here it goes!
Prom dress hunting is by far the most vital part of the whole experience. I planned my whole look around my dress! My prom was in 2012 and this was my final look:
I went for a floor length, royal blue dress with knot front and beaded back details. The dress was open back with simple crossover straps and I absolutely loved it! I styled it with black embellished heels and a matching clutch. I finished the look with silver jewellery and I was ready to roll. With hair and make up, I found the look I wanted to achieve on Pinterest and then went to a hairdresser before doing my make up myself. Prom was amazing and and we all had the best time! Right, time for 2016 Demi to prepare for prom!
Step One: The Perfect Dress
Over the last few years, my faith in online shopping has grown rapidly so I decided to head over to some online shops to start my hunt for the perfect dress. I looked on Asos mainly because they have such a wide range of brands and prices to suit everyone. Asos actually ended up being the place where I found my perfect dress:
This Jarlo Petite Keyhole Maxi dress with rushed detailing stole my heart! I thought this dress was absolutely beautiful and I instantly fell in love with it. Being on the shorter side means that I usually need to buy petite clothes, especially trousers and more importantly, dresses. This dress is actually from the petite section on Asos which is perfect for me! If you’ve also fallen in love with this dress, find it here! Now we have or dress, lets style it.
Step Two: Shoes & Clutch
With this dress, I want to keep the look quite minimal and simple so the accessories don’t take away from how beautiful the dress itself is. In terms of colour, I would want to look for white heels and a matching clutch. For this, I went over to missguided because I know they have a lot of beautiful heels. I found 3 different options that would all work with the dress, depending on your personal style. They range from super simple, to a beautiful lace up detail:
To go with the heels you need a matching clutch! Now it doesn’t have to be a perfect match, but I like to keep everything matching with shoes and bags, especially for events like prom. For a clutch, I ended up back on Asos and I found the dreamiest bag:
This Asos Metal Trim Clutch Bag would look great with the heels and dress because its the same colour as the shoes and has the same minimalistic style that Im looking for. This clutch also has a gold metal trim detail which brings me swiftly onto jewellery accessories. I decided on gold jewellery for this look so the hint of gold on the clutch makes everything match perfectly.
Step Three: Jewellery
Seeing as the dress is backless and elegant, I wanted to mirror this with the jewellery I choose. Im leaning towards a slight bohemian feel with this dress so I looked at Urban Outfitters for the perfect minimalistic boho bling:
I found this dainty Fine Chain Disc Bracelet which would look so beautiful and simple.I then also found this Twig Cuff Bracelet which I would wear around my upper arm. I looked at rings but then decided that some white flash tattoos could look really nice and would be something different for prom! Something like this, but more simple, from Pinterest:
I personally love the look of flash tattoos, especially in summer with a nice tan so I would love to try this with a prom look as something a bit different that not many people would think of doing.
Step Four: Make up
Pinterest is the number one place to find hair and make up inspiration without doubt. For make up, I created a board and then decided to trial a make up look myself. I filmed a brown smokey eye prom tutorial which you can find here. Here are a few images that I was inspired by:
Step Five: Hair
And last but not least, hair. I also made a board on Pinterest for hair inspiration and for this, I wanted to keep it quite natural looking. Here are a few ideas of how I would want it to look:
I think big natural waves would complete this look nicely. I think it really adds to the bohemian feel and is an easy style to create from home. Its also something that is manageable though the night and easy to fix up if it goes flat or too messy from grooving too hard!
So that is the final round up for my Prom 2016 Challenge! I hope this has helped some of you with your prom organising. Hopefully I’ve inspired some of you, whether thats finding the perfect dress, or learning how to organise your prom dress hunt, or how to accessorise your outfit! Also I hope the make up video was helpful to somebody too! Let me know what you thought of it in the comments and if you recreate the look, be sure to tag me on insta, that would be pretty damn cool! Thank you so much for taking the time to read my post, I hope all of you have the time of your lives at prom this year!
The start of 2016 has been a chilly one to say the least which has inspired this winter coat post! The shearling jacket/coat is a huge trend at the moment but I couldn’t find one I really wanted anywhere! But then, on one cosy evening before christmas, curled up on the sofa, I found THE ONE… I needed it in my life there and then. Turns out, I’m a very luck girlfriend because within minutes my boyfriend had ordered it for me as one of my christmas presents! (goals achieved)
I found this beauty on Missguided for £68 which I thought was a really good price compared to a lot of the other ones I’ve seen previously but I couldn’t find it on the website anymore to link it which is sad. Its sooooo comfy and the warmest thing I’ve ever owned. Honestly, it blocks out the cold and the wind completely because its fur lined the whole way through! I wear it out all the time, its the perfect casual coat to chuck over a jumper and skinny jeans which, if you know me, you know thats pretty much what you’ll find me wearing on a daily basis for uni etc.
If you’re tied between whether to buy a shearing jacket or not this winter then DO IT, you will not regret it! I want more but I don’t know if I can justify a whole wardrobe of various coloured shearling jackets to my bank account… but I can dream! Below are a few of the shearling coats I’ve had my eye on this winter:
Happy new year everyone! I thought I’d start the new year with a little outfit post for you all. For most of you, the last two weeks has probably been full of partying and celebrations so today’s OOTN is one for a smarter evening out with the girls. This is one of my favourite looks to wear into London for cocktails or a late dinner with friends, its simple, minimal and smart!
I paired my light grey high waisted cigarette trousers with a wrap around white cropped top and strappy heels and finished the outfit with a white envelope clutch. I like to stick to simple pieces purely because I think it suits me better and its what I’m most comfortable in! But if you love a bold pattern or a colour clash then mix it up! For hair and make up I stuck to a messy bun and natural colours on my eyes with a dark nude lip. I think this look would be perfect with a light duster jacket to keep you warm while you go from bar to bar! Below Ive put together some of my favourite Crop/Trouser combinations that I’m loving right now for a smart night out:
From left to right;
With payday fast approaching, my Asos wish list is growing at a rapid pace! so here is a glimpse of whats on my wish list this month! *family take note, christmas is upon us xoxoxoxox*
So I moved into my new uni house on September 1st, and this is when I met my lovely housemate and new main gal Beth. Beth is a super talented fashion blogger/model/fashion marketing student and we’ve worked together a lot on her blog and look books, so I thought I’d share a few bits we’ve done so far.
We’ve made a few look books;
We’ve also done some photography on her blog for various outfit posts which you’ll be able to see of you click the link below!
We also have a lot planned for the near future. There will be a lot more look books and photography for beth’s blog but she will also be modelling for a short film I have in the works at the moment so stay tuned for that!
